Mission
The mission of the Occupational Health and Safety Program is to qualify, train and graduate health and safety specialists with a high level of knowledge, skills, and conducting scientific research in the field; in order to improve health and safety system and serve the need of the community.
Objectives
The educational goal of the Occupational Health and Safety Program is to prepare the students for a successful professional and personal life. The specific objectives of the Occupational Health and Safety Program are:
Objective 1: Provide, improve and maintain high quality Occupational Health and Safety educational program by:
- Equipping the students with the knowledge, skills, and tools to design and analyze the workplace.
- Embedding in the students the understanding of the health and safety profession, ethics, and responsibilities as individuals and as team members.
Objective 2: Establish and improve high level educational supports by:
- Recruiting high quality faculty member, teaching assistants, and technicians.
- Equipping the laboratories with latest educational facilities.
Objective 3: Provide occupational health and safety graduate with leadership and long-life learning behavior by developing critical thinking for solving local OHS issues.
Objective 4: Professional development and research work by encouraging scientific publishing and active participation in professional conferences and meetings; in order to improve health and safety system and serve the need of the community.
